Vitalant hosts blood drive at Sandy’s Donuts

WEST FARGO, N.D., (KVRR)- It’s a unique way to lure blood donors: give them a free Sandy’s Donut after making a donation. Vitalant was in the parking lost and hosted a blood drive at Sandy’s Donuts in West Fargo.

They even offered a free donut to all donors to sweeten the deal and increase the blood supply.

All blood types are accepted for donation.

Vitalant is in need of donors, and all donors are welcome for any reason, even if it’s just to give back to the community. Darcy Diemert, a blood donor at the event, said, “Just because it is something that I can do to give back.”

Diemert also said, “I’ve been very lucky all my life so it’s just a little thing that I can do to give back to people.”

Anyone 16 and older can donate if they meet requirements. You can schedule an appointment on Vitalant’s website.
