NDSU Football Introduces Three New Coaches Tuesday Afternoon
Tim Polasek and Assistant Coaches Speak at Introductory Press Conference
FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota State Football held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to introduce three newly hired members of the coaching staff.
Offensive Coordinator and running backs coach, Jake Landry was the OC and Quarterbacks coach at St. Thomas the past two season Cornerbacks coach, Will Johnson is taking his first fulltime coaching position after two years at Oklahoma as a grad assistant from 2020 to 2021, and two years as a grad assistant with the University of Southern California in 2022 and 2023. Safeties coach, Devin Klieman spent the past five seasons on the football staff at Kansas State, where his father and former NDSU head coach, Chris Klieman, has been the head coach since 2019. For head c, Tim Polasek hiring members of his staff has been finding the right fits for the program.
“The one thing I want to point out for each and every one of these guys in their own unique way was for them it was proven in how they talked about the research or how they lived in Fargo, it meant a lot to them to be here to talk about the fit and I know that sometimes that ain’t the sexiest way to talk about a hire, the biggest selling point but for us, when you combine administration, the players, Fargo, and the people on our staff already, the fit is all that mattered to me; along with being a capable teacher, educator of football, and being a great mentor,” said Polasek.
