True-Crime Expo Visits Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR)– True-crime has one of the fastest growing audiences in the United States. This weekend at the Ramada in Fargo, the first annual True Crime Expo took place.

The event ran Saturday and Sunday showcasing several vendors including the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and psychics. It also showed true crime shows and had several guest speakers including people with the Jacob Wetterling Foundation.

Organizer Tony Tilton spoke about the success of the event and the building excitement to hold the Expo again next year.

“It’s been great, people have been very happy,” said Tilton. “We have had great speakers and we were very impressed with some of the people. We talked to people who weren’t available for this and they will be here next year. So, we’ve got some big names we are looking at next year. It’s a process and part of things is we didn’t start planning this until after Valley Con which is late October,  so it was a short window to get things planned. Now we have a full year and we can really work on that for next year.”

Tilton said they anticipate to hold the event around the same time next year –The week before the Super Bowl.
