Man Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Grand Forks Church

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – The driver of a car that crashed into the front of the Calvary Community Church in Grand Forks Monday afternoon is facing a DUI charge,

Grand Forks police say Issa Bawzer passed out driving on South Washington Street. Police say a passenger grabbed the wheel and turned onto the frontage road before striking the church near the intersection with Campbell Drive.

A damage estimate is not available. Bawzer also faces additional charges of DUI refusal, felony drug possession, reckless endangerment and having no liability insurance.
