Dakota Prairie School District teacher accused of sexually assaulting students

PETERSBURG, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – A long-time teacher, coach and school counselor in the Dakota Prairie School District in northeastern North Dakota has been charged with sexual assault, solicitation of a minor and luring by computer.
Brendon Parsley of McVille, North Dakota was placed on administrative leave in December.
The complaint, filed in Nelson County District Court, alleges that Parsley had sexual contact with two girls who went to him for counseling at the high school in Petersburg. The first girl said the inappropriate conduct took place when she was a junior in the 2014-2015 school year.
A probable cause summary says a second girl reported unwelcome sexual advances from Parsley when she was a sophomore in 2008. One of the girls told a North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation agent that Parsley manipulated and ruined many years of her life.
Parsley joined the school district in the 2003-2004 school year.
