Essentia Health is offering two new cancer support groups

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Essentia Health is offering two new support groups for patients and caregivers of all types of cancer beginning in March. This is a 10-week group and there is no cost.

One of the groups is a normal meet-up while the other is called “Journal With Me” which is a creative writing support group. That one is limited to 10 people.

There will be three start dates throughout the year.

Support group:

March 4
June 3
Sept. 9

Journal with Me:

March 19
June 17
Sept. 23

The groups will go over numerous topics to help those in need.

“Is it an emotional thing that they’re feeling? Do we need to talk about finances? Do we need to talk about family issues? With the creative writing class even, how are we going to be able to help you express those emotions if you are not able to do it out loud in front of others.” said Sara Anderson who is a survivorship and community outreach program manager.
