FARGO (KVRR) – A Cass County District Court Judge who had been seriously considering a run for Congress has decided to stay out of the race.

Judge Wade Webb said several people encouraged him to enter the race after Republican Congressman Kelly Armstrong announced he’s running for governor.

Webb is a Republican. He says he appreciates all the support, but wants to continue his work in the courtroom.

Republican House candidates include potato farmer Tom Campbell, Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak and former North Dakota State Rep. Rick Becker.

Democrat Trygve Hammer is also in the race.
