Kindred Boys Basketball Prepares For Class A State Tournament
The Vikings are Three Wins Away From Perfect Season
KINDRED, N.D. — The Kindred Vikings are a perfect 23-0 as the march into the Class A Boys Basketball tournament. Kindred won the Region 1 Championship last Friday night with their with their 65-50 win over Wahpeton. Now the Vikings head to state three wins away from a 26-0 perfect season. The Vikings set the goal to reach the State Tournament coming into the season; while their high-flying style has made the highlights, their selfless identity and lockdown defense has helped them win their last 23 games.
“Defense obviously is big with Coach Woehl and big with this program and that’s great for us and we have a great roster and great depth and anyone can do anything on the team and that helps us,” said junior forward, Presley Peraza.
“We got four guys that are currently averaging double figures right now. We are averaging over 15 assists a game and that was kind of the motto going into the season; A We not Me mentality and sharing the basketball and the results have definitely shown,” said head coach, Brad Woehl.
