Police investigating suspicious death of child in Moorhead

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting Moorhead Police.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Police are investigating what’s being called the “suspicious death” of a child in Moorhead.

Officers were called Monday to an apartment in the 1500-block of Belsly Boulevard for a medical assist. The boy was transported by Sanford Ambulance to Sanford Hospital where he later died.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting Moorhead Police.

The child’s body is being transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy will be conducted.

The boy’s age and name were not immediately released.

Police say there is no known threat to the public.
