FARGO (KVRR) – The Cass County Drug Task Force seized 85,660 fentanyl pills in 2023, an increase of 126% from the previous year.

The figures are published in the Fargo Police Department’s annual crime report.

Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski told city commissioners Monday that fentanyl is a “significant concern.”

The report says property crimes including arson, motor vehicle theft and burglary decreased from the previous year, but shoplifting cases jumped 26%.

Simple assault cases rose slightly. The number of murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault cases went down.
