Lingering Winter Storm causes bad driving conditions
FARGO, N.D., (KVRR)- With the winter storm coming through the region, driving conditions throughout the metro have been impacted.
Around 3 inches of snow was reported in Fargo as of Monday morning, sticking to the roads making their conditions more slick. The wind is blowing the snow around as well, making it much harder for people to see where they are going.
With driving conditions throughout the region less than optimal, the North Dakota Highway patrol recommends taking your time, and being smart while driving. Bryan Niewind, A captain at Fargo Highway Patrol, said, “The biggest thing today is if you need to be traveling today, slow down. Give yourself some extra time to get where you need to go.”
Niewind also said, “Do not put that cruise control on because as your driving, the visibility might drop and you would not be able to see those road conditions, if you got that cruise control on it may cause you to lose control, so keep that cruise control off.”
Bryan also recommends checking the North dakota Department of Transportation website to check for road conditions.
