Fargo man arrested on suspicion of possession of child sex abuse materials

Fargo Police using a search warrant arrested a man at a residence in the 500 block of 31st Avenue North Wednesday night

FARGO, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) – Fargo Police using a search warrant arrested a man at a residence in the 500 block of 31st Avenue North Wednesday night.

During a search of the residence, officers found child sexual abuse materials.

Joel John Schumacher, 55, of Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of possessing certain prohibited materials and booked into the Cass County Jail.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting police with the investigation.

No further information is being released due to the ongoing investigation.
