People wanted to apply for vacancies on City of Fargo Boards and Commisions

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) —  The city of Fargo is asking residents to help fill a number of positions on city boards and committees.

There are currently seven vacancies, but only three people have expressed interest.

Mayor Tim Mahoney is encouraging residents to get involved and help shape the direction of Fargo’s future.

“We like people to get involved in the community of Fargo because that brings open debate. “

Dr. Mahoney also said, “What does the city want to do? Where do we want to go in the Future? What do we want to do to add growth? We just had a growth plan come out, what are we going to do with our growth? Are we going to put density in, are we going to put parks in, Are we gonna put walking paths in? What is it the citizens want?”

The deadline for filing is April 4.
