Final Four: Top High School Hoops Plays Compete For Chris Heiese High School Play of the Season

This Week's Play of the Weeks Pin the Best Girls and Boys Basketball Highlights of the Season Against Each Other

FARGO, N.D.– High School basketball season is now over in North Dakota but the season brought plays that will be remembered for years by student athletes, fans, and viewers alike. KVRR Sports is sending off the high school basketball season by putting the two best girls plays and the two best boys plays against each other for this week’s Chris Heise High School Play of the Week.

Starting with the girls,  we go back to the EDC Championship. Down two with seven seconds to go.. Jocelyn Schiller passed to Hannah Litzinger for a game winning 3-point shot. Red River’s clutch shooting goes against West Fargo’s hustle and determination demonstrated by the Packers’ Brylie Peterson. Peterson goes for a tough lay up where she ends up on the ground but gets back up and chases down the play for a steal on the other end this time gets the lay-up to go with the foul.

For the guys, it’s two sensational slam dunks. In play number one, Jeremiah Sem drove inside against the West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs in the state championship game and elevated for the slam over 6-foot-10, North Dakota Boys Basketball Player of the Year Tommy Ahneman. Play number two comes from the Class A State tournament in Kindred’s game against he Killdeer Cowboys. Jake Starcevic stole a pass and started the fastbreak, finding Brooks Bakko for the alleyoop slam despite being fouled.
