West Fargo resident arrested after trying to break into an apartment who was also stabbed

FARGO (KVRR) – Shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday, Fargo Police responded to a reported stabbing in N. Fargo. FPD says 31-year-old Lacey Smith was stabbed after trying to break into an apartment in the 1100 Block of 11th St. N.

This all stemmed from an argument between Smith and the resident in the apartment. After Smith broke through a window, the resident stabbed Smith with a kitchen knife.

Smith was treated for minor injuries and was arrested for burglary.

Police say this is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.
