Chris Heise High School Basketball Plays of the Year
Fargo North Boys and the Red River Girls Win The Play of the Year
FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota High School Basketball season delivered thrilling plays from the opening tip in November to the final buzzers of March. For this week’s Chris Heise High School Play of the Week we take a look at the two best plays of the season on the girls and boys side as decided by the voters.
In girls hoops, who doesn’t love some clutch shooting? The Red River Roughriders needed a bucket and ideally a 3-pointer in the final seconds of the EDC Championship game against West Fargo Horace. Down two with seven seconds to go, Jocelyn Schiller passed to Hannah Litzinger for a game winning 3-point shot.
In boys basketball, Jeremiah Sem has been a human highlight machine throughout his career and his greatest play was arguably saved for his last game for the Fargo North Spartans in the Boys Basketball State Championship game. Like so many times before, Sem beat the defenders with his cat-like quickness. He drove inside and soared over the 6-foot-10 defender to hammer home the one handed slam.
Congratulations to this weeks winners of the Chris Heise High School Play of the Week.
