NDSU Drops Home Opener to Rival SDSU, 5-1
NDSU HELD THEIR EARLIEST HOME OPENER SINCE 2017, BUT FALL TO THE JACKS.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR)– HIGHLIGHTS:
North Dakota State loses their home opener to South Dakota State 5-1. The loss drops the Bison to 4-3 in conference play and 7-18 overall. The Jacks improve to 5-4 in league play and 12-15 overall.
Leland Wilson got the start for NDSU and pitched five innings allowing five hits, two runs and registered four strikeouts. Wilson picks up the loss.
Nic McCay for SDSU pitched six innings, allowed just two hits and racked up ten strikeouts in the win.
The Bison scored their lone run in the 9th inning.
The Bison and Jacks will play two more games this weekend. Saturday at 2 P.M. and Sunday at 1 P.M.
