Fargo Air Museum honors National Patriots’ Day
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Today is national Patriots’ Day and the Fargo Air Museum is celebrating.
The museum hosted a ceremony to honor patriots and all armed forces veterans for the special day.
There were multiple speeches from veterans, a speech from Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney, music performed by the Fargo North High School Choir, and a rifle salute by the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard.
Patriots’ Day occurs on the 3rd Monday of every April and it is important to celebrate our veterans, as well as our heroes from the revolutionary war.
“But just, remembering how this country came into existence, honoring that, and telling that story. Because with all the challenges we have in this country, we think about how we come together in difficult times, how we were formed as a nation,” said Major General Alan Dohrmann, North Dakota Adjutant General.
This is Fargo Air Museum’s fourth year celebrating the day.
It is a holiday in 6 states in the U.S. including North Dakota.
