Man Confesses To Numerous Elevator Burglaries in Cass, Clay and Otter Tail Counties

CASS COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner says a man arrested for theft and drugs in Otter Tail County has admitted to thefts in Cass and Clay Counties.

33-year-old Wyatt Johnson of Hankinson, North Dakota was arrested at Harvest States French Elevator west of Fergus Falls on March 2nd.

Jahner says elevators in Cass County were hit in Arthur, Page, and Ayr in February and early March.

Jahner says his investigators have received a confession from Johnson.

Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says Johnson admitted he had also burglarized an elevator in Georgetown, north of Moorhead.

Charges have not yet been filed in Cass and Clay Counties.
