BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) – Rick Becker is pausing campaign activities due to a family emergency.

Becker told KFGO that his son was riding an electric skateboard when he crashed, and sustained a skull fracture and a brain bleed.  He’s hopeful that his son keeps improving and can be discharged from the hospital in the next few days. Becker will resume campaign activities then.

Becker’s campaign said on Facebook Friday his son was severely injured, and that he “must be present to advocate and care for his son.”

Becker is running for the Republican nomination for US House against endorsed candidate Alex Balazs, Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak, former Miss America Cara Mund, and Williston resident Sharlet Mohr
