FM Visitor Bureau Ad Campaign Highlights LGBTQ+ Friendly Businesses

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A social media advertising campaign highlights the F-M Convention and Visitor’s Bureau list of LGBTQ+ friendly businesses in the area.

The list is made up of businesses that have tagged themselves as LGBTQ+ friendly on Google.

The CVB compiled the list as part of their ongoing efforts to showcase the inclusiveness of the metro to travelers and residents.

CVB President Charley Johnson says that the best way for visitors to promote your business as LGBTQ+ friendly is to be up front about it.

“It’s one thing to have a Google tag, which is important for people who are traveling in, but for even for local people; especially for local people; I think it’s important for businesses that are welcoming to make it clear to people when they come in,” said Charley Johnson, CEO of F-M Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The CVB has been a longtime supporter of Pride events in the area, and say this initiative is just another part of highlighting diversity and inclusion in the region.
