Sanford announces Roger Maris All-Star Week events and guests

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Roger Maris Swing Training at Suite Shots was a chance to make some big announcements about the 40th annual Roger Maris All-Star Week. The events kick-off June 14 with a youth baseball tournament and a home run derby the next day.

The Celebrity Golf Tournament returns June 20 featuring former Major League Baseball MVP Steve Garvey, and former Minnesota Vikings Chad Greenway and Cris Carter.

Greenway says that he’s excited to be coming back and looks forward to giving back to the community.

“With Sanford coming up here to Fargo, with this Roger Maris week, you can tell it’s just the people. They’re authentic good people, they care about people.

And I think when you bring really good healthcare to these areas that may not be considered healthcare hubs, it’s really important, please folks in North Dakota to have access to great health care so close,” said Greenway.
