Therapy dog helps NDSU students destress
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — With Finals Week approaching, NDSU brought in a therapy dog to help students destress.
Frankie, a two-year-old golden doodle from Therapy Pets of the Red River Valley, stopped by the NDSU Library to visit with students studying for their finals.
He showed up with a fresh haircut, ready to help students take a break from their hard work.
NDSU Dean of Libraries Jolie Graybill said that events like this help prevent students from getting overwhelmed, and that they’d like to do events with more animals in the future.
“We’d love to have more therapy, dogs or therapy, chickens, or therapy mini horses. Students resonate with a lot of different kinds of animals and so far we’ve done mostly the therapy dogs, so we would like to branch out.”
This was also Frankie’s first official job as a trained therapy dog.
