FARGO (KVRR) – The NDSU Track and Field program is gearing up for the Summit League Championships next week, and are using a two-day tune-up meet in town to prepare. With other local teams joining in, student-athletes tackled the rainy elements and fired off javelins in North Fargo.

The coaching staff is using this opportunity to gauge the team as they get their travel roster ready.

“It’s one of the meets that we kind of count on hosting every year. It gives our kids an opportunity to get one last competition in before the conference championships next week. And some of our kids are development kids who haven’t had an opportunity to travel compete as much. Getting ready for the summer for those kids and seeing where they are at.” said Head Coach Stevie Keller.

The team will also be recognizing their seniors on Friday.
