National Guard hosts career fair for local students

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The North Dakota Army National Guard hosted a career fair for local high school students in Fargo Friday.
The event gave students a chance to meet soldiers, learn about career opportunities, and even work with some of the equipment.
Staff Sergeant Anthony Gallegos shared his expertise with the students.
He says he was excited to tell them about the opportunities in the National Guard, and experience he says is like no other.
“It really is. It’s like no other. You’re going to get an experience from this that you’re not going to find out in the civilian world. I mean, just with the equipment that we use, the people that you work with. You’re gonna work with people from a variety of different parts of the state; parts of the world even.”
The National Guard also held an open house for the public later in the afternoon.
