The first one happened around 5:50 pm on the loop ramp from northbound I-29 to westbound I-94.
North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 49-year-old Fargo man lost control of a Chevy Camaro and hit a guardrail.
He was taken to Sanford with life-threatening injuries.
Exit 63 was closed on northbound I-29 for about 75 minutes after the crash.
The name of the driver will be released Thursday afternoon. The crash remains under investigation.

The next crash happened around 25 minutes later, just after 6:15 pm, on the on-ramp from Sheyenne Street to westbound I-94 in West Fargo.

He drove off the road on the on-ramp, came back onto the road and tipped the trailer.
The trailer separated from the truck.
No one was injured, but the crash caused the on-ramp to be closed for about 90 minutes for an investigation and clean-up.
Lee is not facing any charges. The investigation into the crash continues.
