Motorcycle driver seriously injured, arrested for DUI after Barnes County crash

BARNES COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) – A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash, 2 miles north of Valley City, North Dakota around 5:30 Sunday afternoon.

The State Patrol says the driver was southbound on County Road 21, 2 miles north of Valley City when he lost control of the motorcycle and ran off the road, stopping in the north ditch.

The 45-year-old Valley City man was not wearing a helmet and received serious life-threatening injuries. He was transported to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City before being flown by Sanford Airmed to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. His name has not been released.

He’s been arrested for DUI.
