United Way Day of Action Brings Surge in Volunteerism in the Metro
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Continuing to make a difference in the community, United Way of Cass Clay holds its second annual Day of Action.
United Way helped work on much-needed volunteer projects throughout the community and brought awareness to issues that they say affect us all.
More than 400 volunteers fanned out to more than 30 locations.
They worked with groups such as the Immigrant Development Center, River Keepers, and Churches United.
The Day of Action is meant to make the community a better place for everyone.
“The United Way mission is to inspire and activate our community to improve lives, and today is all about doing just that with the power of our community coming together in the form of volunteerism,” said Christie Lewandoski with United Way of Cass Clay.
Volunteers did everything from planting, to facility cleaning to donation sorting.
