TULSA, OK (KVRR) – The North Dakota State University Bison baseball program stormed back in the top of the 9th inning to take down the top seeded Omaha Mavericks in the Summit League Baseball Tournament. The Bison were down 5-0 heading into the final frame, but they ripped off seven runs to win 7-5.

It seemed like an early exit for the #2 seeded Bison in the tournament after being upset by Oral Roberts in the first round. However, the offense came to life in the 9th thanks to some clutch hits by players like Jake Schaffner and Kyle Law. The game-winning hit came from Sam Canton who drove in two runs with an RBI-single.

NDSU now awaits for the loser between Northern Colorado and Oral Roberts. That game will be on Friday at 4 P.M. CST in Tulsa, OK.
