Lakeville man charged with dismembering pregnant sister

LAKEVILLE, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Lakeville man is jailed on $2 million bond for the alleged killing of his sister and her unborn child last Thursday.

Dakota County prosecutors say 23-year-old Jack Ball is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 30-year-old Bethany Israel.

She was between 17 and 18 weeks pregnant.

The criminal complaint says Israel’s family became concerned when she didn’t return home from dinner with her brother.

Police found bloody knives and dismembered body parts.

Ball was later arrested in Rosemount.
