Dakota Marker Game to be Nationally Televised

FARGO (NDSU Athletics/KVRR) – For the first time since 2016, North Dakota State University will have two regular-season football games on national television. The 21st annual Dakota Marker game between North Dakota State and South Dakota State will be televised by ESPN. Network and game time will be announced in the weeks leading up to the game, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.

NDSU’s other nationally televised game is the season opener Thursday, Aug. 29, when the Bison face the Colorado Buffaloes on ESPN.

The Dakota Marker game is one of two national broadcasts for the Missouri Valley Football Conference as part of its new multimedia rights agreement with ESPN. The following week’s USD at SDSU game will also be televised by ESPN.

The Valley Football Game of the Week on ESPN+ will continue each week of conference play in 2024. NDSU’s game at Southern Illinois on October 12 will be an ESPN+ exclusive broadcast.

North Dakota State played on ESPN networks twice during the regular season in 2016. The Bison beat Charleston Southern in the FCS Kickoff season opener on ESPN and defeated 11th-ranked Iowa on ESPN2.

NDSU is 35-6 overall in its previous 41 nationally televised games at the Division I level.
