MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Metro fireworks fans have one fewer option for 4th of July celebrations.

Moorhead’s longtime 4th of July fireworks show is cancelled.

According to a Facebook post, Moorhead Business Association said “that it is no longer a smart financial decision for our membership and our organization.”

This decision is becoming public 3 weeks before the event would have taken place.

Red River Valley Fair will still have its fireworks display this year.

KVRR reached out to the Moorhead Business Association and they confirmed the cancelation but would not elaborate further.
