WAHPETON, N.D. (KVRR) — A false report of shots fired in Wahpeton leads to an arrest.

Wahpeton Police say Brian Hauge, of Fergus Falls, called police to say shots were fired at 521 7th Avenue South around 12:45 this afternoon.

A perimeter was set up around the apartment building.

All people inside the building were told to shelter in place.

Police determined Hauge was parked down the street to watch the officers’ response to his ex-girlfriend’s home and that the shots did not happen.
