FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Fargo woman has been given a five-year suspended sentence for felony theft after pleading guilty to stealing over $80,000 from her employer.

Kelly Tweiten will be on probation for three years and was given credit for four days served.

According to court documents, Tweiten transferred money into her personal banking account, and wrote fraudulent checks to herself from Dietrich Homes where she worked as a financial manager.

The theft came to light after the owner noticed irregularities in the business account in January.

A separate restitution hearing will be set at a later date.
