First human case of West Nile virus confirmed in North Dakota

MORTON COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota has its first human case of West Nile virus this season.
The state’s Health and Human Services says the person lives in Morton County and was hospitalized
Most people infected with West Nile virus experience no symptoms.
Those who develop symptoms will commonly report fever, headache, body/joint aches or rash.
