UPDATE: Victim of Crash between semi and motor scooter near Lisbon identified

LISBON, ND (KVRR) — A man killed on his scooter Tuesday morning in Lisbon, North Dakota has been identified.

Highway Patrol says 66-year-old Kevin Brummund tried to pass a semi hauling a trailer when it turned in front of him.

Brummund’s scooter ran into the passenger side dual tires of the semi at the intersection of Highway 32 and Jackson Avenue.

He was then hit by the trailer and died at the scene.

Highway patrol says there are no charges as the crash remains under investigation.

LISBON, ND (KVRR) – Late Tuesday morning, a crash between a semi-truck and a motor scooter has left a 66-year-old Lisbon man dead. The crash happened around 10:25 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 32 and Jackson Ave. in Lisbon according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The reports says the scooter driver attempted to pass the semi-truck while it was turning to the right and ran into the tires on the passenger side. Then the trailer it was towing hit the 66-year-old. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 63-year-old semi driver was not injured. The crash remains under investigation by Highway Patrol.
