Klobuchar: Documents case against Trump should be allowed to continue

UNDATED (KVRR) – Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D) is opposed to a federal judge’s ruling to dismiss the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump.
Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the prosecution, siding with Trump lawyers who said the special counsel who filed the charges was illegally appointed.
Trump faced dozens of felony counts accusing him of illegally hoarding classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, and obstructing FBI efforts to get them back.
“I know it’s going to be appealed and it should be appealed,” Klobuchar said.
“I just think it’s important we hear out these cases…if you’re keeping nuclear secrets and things like that, that aren’t supposed to get out, or if you have information that could endanger our agents abroad, you can’t just have that sitting in a storage room.”
