Man arrested in East Grand Forks after fleeing in Red River

EAST GRAND FORKS, MINN. (KVRR) — A man is in custody after fleeing police and jumping into the Red River in East Grand Forks.
Just after 2 AM Friday police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Demers Ave.
Initial investigations identified the suspect as John Pribula.
Pribula had fled the scene on foot across the Sorlie Bridge.
East Grand Forks Police say that Pribula refused to halt when given orders to stop, and jumped into the Red River and swam northbound.

A drone located Pribula, and he was taken into custody by East Grand Forks Police.
Other parties involved claimed no injuries and didn’t wish for further police assistance.
