Former Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy under investigation by NDBCI
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A former Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy has been placed under investigation as well.
Former Deputy Darin Viken, a nineteen-year veteran of our Office, was placed on administrative leave on July 17th and subsequently terminated from employment on July 22nd.
In 2015, Viken was appointed as the coordinator of Cass County Sheriff’s Office 24/7 Sobriety Program.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is working with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation to investigate Viken.
The Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that due to the nature of the allegations against Viken, they will not be releasing more information at this time.
