United Way of Cass-Clay Reaches Its Backpack Goal, Distribution is This Week

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — United Way of Cass-Clay has reached its goal of 6,000 backpacks and now its almost time to start handing out those school supplies.

More than 100 volunteers have signed up to pack backpacks with paper, pens and everything a kid will need to head back to school.

With multiple stations and sessions volunteers are able to have fun while packing.

Enclave, a company that has been sponsoring the school supply drive for the past two years, joined the team of volunteers to pack as well.

“Well, my parents always taught me to give back and the character at heart is the most important part of an individual. United Way allows me to give my time my treasure to those less fortunate in our communities. So that’s why I personally support United Way and also volunteer as well,” said Eric Christianson the Chief Operations Officer of Enclave.

Backpacks can be picked up starting Wednesday at 4:30 at Fargodome for any child in need of supplies.

Complete hours below:

Wednesday, July 31: 4:30-6 p.m.
