Back to School Vaccines: What Parents Need to Know
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — With the school year starting in just a few weeks, Sanford Health wants to make sure your kids are up to date with their vaccines.
By making an appointment with your physician for a check-up you can stay up to date on both your vaccines and health.
If students also need a physical for sports they can also ask at the time of their appointment.
The vaccines required will vary by age.
“These back to school time is typically a good time to just to remember, oh yeah my kid should just have a general check-up. While we’re there if there are any vaccines that are due it’s a perfect time to do it. We could do sports physicals at the same time if your child is due for a sports physical. That’s a pretty easy thing to add on for most pediatricians,” said Dr. Brandon Meyer with Sanford Health Pediatrics.
