North Dakota Renaissance Faire offers close encounters of the bird kind

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The North Dakota Renaissance Faire is out at the fairgrounds, for another weekend of Renaissance Era activities.

They have live music, turkey legs, archery, horse riding and jousting.

You can also catch one of the shows from Edge Feather Experiences, showcasing their birds of prey.

Master Falconer Crystal Stacey says that she loves giving people an up close look at birds that you usually only see from a distance.

“I think it makes a much stronger impact on someone, especially younger kids because they’ve never seen this before. And it’s something that will stick with them for a very long time. A lot of falconers become falconers because of something they experienced when they were really young. So it’s very important to me for everybody to get to experience these beautiful creatures up close.”

The Renaissance Faire will be running again next weekend, from 10-6 on Saturday and Sunday.
