Grand Forks Police make electric scooter theft arrest

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Police in Grand Forks catch up with a man they say stole an electric scooter on Tuesday.

An officer spotted a man matching the description of the wanted man near Orton’s gas station at 2002 South Washington Street.

The suspect is 35-year-old Ronald Vondal-Nelson, of Grand Forks.

When they tried to approach him, he took off running.

Eventually, officers caught up with him.

He was arrested and charged with robbery, preventing arrest, refusal to halt and possession of drug paraphernalia.
