Vikings and CB Stephon Gilmore agree to 1-year deal

THE DEAL PROVIDES DEPTH TO A VIKES CB ROOM THAT HAS DEALT WITH INJURIES DURING TRAINING CAMP.

EAGAN, Minn. (KVRR)–The Minnesota Vikings have dealt with injuries throughout training camp in their cornerback room. Sunday, the Vikings added some experience in their secondary.

On Monday, August 12, Minnesota brought in veteran CB Stephon Gilmore for a visit, but the two sides did not agree to a contract, but evidently stayed in touch.

According to ESPN sources, Minnesota and Gilmore have agreed to a one-year deal worth $10 million.

Gilmore has previously played for the Bills, Patriots, Panthers, Colts, and Cowboys.

Gilmore played for defensive coordinator Brian Flores during his time with New England.

The Vikings have one preseason game remaining before they begin the 2024 regular season in East Rutherford, NJ on September 8.
