Juvenile in Custody in Moorhead After Deadly Stabbing of 17-Year-Old in Browns Valley

BROWNS VALLEY, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — A juvenile is in custody in Moorhead for a deadly stabbing in Browns Valley.

Traverse County Sheriff Trevor Wright says deputies and Browns Valley Ambulance were called to Valley View Apartments early last Friday morning for a call of an unresponsive person.

17-year-old Andre Kampeska of Browns Valley was taken to the hospital in nearby Sisseton where he died from a stab wound to the chest.

The suspect was later arrested on charges of murder and manslaughter.
