Hornbacher’s Donates “Check Out Hunger” Proceeds to Great Plains Food Bank

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Hornbachers presents Great Plains Food Bank with a check for over$ 62,000 from the annual “Check Out Hunger” campaign.

The thirtieth annual campaign was held in July at all Hornbacher’s locations in the metro.

Customers were invited to join the mission of fighting to end hunger.

Since 1994, the campaign has raised nearly $1 million.

“It means the world, we know that we can’t end hunger alone we will only do it together. And with Hornbacher’s and all of their guests really showing up and stepping up at a time where there are so many people in need. It warms our hearts and it’s putting food on people’s tables and we could not be more proud to be a part of this community,” said Melissa Sobolik, Great Plains Food Bank CEO.

Both Hornbacher’s and Great Plains Food Bank representatives believe next year they’ll reach the million-dollar mark.
