Fargo Firefighters Host 70th annual Fill the Boot Fundraiser

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Firefighters Local 642 hosted their 70th annual Fill the Boot Fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. 

The Fill the Boot Fundraiser has helped raise funds to support research, care, and advocacy for people with neuromuscular diseases.

The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is the top fundraising partner in MDA history.

To date, the program has raised over $700 million, and this year, it has a goal of $2 million.

The fire departments in general have raised over $580 million. And the MDA it’s a really its a complex medical issue medical process. But they approved more FDA more medications in the last three years than the last two decades so they are making strides,” said Chris Dietz, Captain Fargo Fire Department.
