FARGO (KVRR) – A Fargo hotel and a neighboring bar & grill that’s been open for nearly 40 years will permanently close.

The Biltmore Hotel & Suites and O’Kelly’s, at 3800 Main Ave. will close and the building will be razed.

“As we reflect on the incredible journey of O’Kelly’s since our opening in 1985, we are filled with immense gratitude for each and every one of you. Many of you have been with us from the very beginning, and your unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our success,” according to O’Kelly’s announcement.

“This weekend marks the end of an era for O’Kelly’s, and we are nostalgic and sad to share this news with you, whether in person or in spirit. Your loyalty and cherished memories have made O’Kelly’s more than just a place to dine; it has become a community.”

Employees say they were notified of the closure on Wednesday.

Managers at the Biltmore and O’Kelly’s declined to comment.
