FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Police in Fargo are investigating nearly 100 car break-ins overnight throughout the city.

They have released these images of a suspect involved in several of the break-ins.

The department is asking people to check their vehicles for any signs of tampering or theft.

They remind people that they can protect themselves from break-ins by locking vehicles, removing valuables, parking in well-lit areas, installing security devices, and reporting suspicious activity.

“I’m not sure on the number that has actually happened yet we’re still looking at all of those reports. But this a very large scale crime spree probably the largest I’ve seen since I’ve been here of unlawful vehicle entries,” said Bill Ahlfeldt, FPD Criminal Investigations Division Captain.

Fargo PD asks the community that if you have any information regarding last night’s break-ins to contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660.
