City of Fargo Moves In To Clear Illegal Homeless Camps

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Starting today, Fargo plans to start clearing out illegal homeless camps.

The camps under the Veterans Bridge have already been cleared out.

While there are still some traces of clothes and garbage laid out, the tents have moved.

One person told us that the city started telling everyone to move yesterday but he still has yet to move.

He also stated, “We are natives, this is native land. Our ancestors lived here and bled here,” disagreeing with the city’s motion.

A camping ban was passed two weeks ago by Fargo City Commission and limits where homeless people can stay along certain infrastructure.
